Chemo is Better than Housework

Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 27, I will have the 6th of 12 Taxol Chemo. I will be half way through the Chemo cycles. YEA! Followed by the 30 radiation treatments. By mid June I should be all through. Here we are at Mike & Lynn McConnell’s 40th anniversary party Saturday night at Mokey’s. I wore my Pat Benatar wig and painted on my eyebrows which are pretty much gone. When I got home, I put on my GRAY wig to show what it looks like, as well the bald, Jack Nicholson/Brittany look. I have come to the conclusion that for me CHEMO is better than housework! The pre-meds make me jumpy for about 3-4 days afterwards, the steroids, benadryl, prednisone, etc. I want to crawl out of my skin. It's like ADHD exposed to radiation. I act like a Jack Russell on speed. My mental acuity is so much better; however I have a very hard time staying on task. It's like you have the remote control and my brain is constantly changing channels.
As I said, the eyebrows are very scarce, and the eye lashes are falling out daily. The previous post concerning the Brazilian... no longer applies. God knew what he was doing when he placed hair on certain areas of a human. Charmin & the texture of sandpaper are not compatible!
The football SPRING FLING is this Saturday. I have sold 44 tickets. Thank you to all who stopped by dropped off or mailed me their checks. I pray that it is cool weather so the Civic Center will be cool.
Today I am going for the hour long massage to use the gift certificate Mary Murchison gave me back before Christmas. I guess I will need to shave the scraggly hairs off my legs that persist on continuing to grow in spite of the hairless body from the thighs up.
The Chemo causes the "flora" in your intestines to change "and not for the good!" How could such a pretty name like FLORA be responsible for such vile odor? I pretty much stay at home so as to not to be the cause of clearing movie theaters, grocery stores, malls, etc. from uncontrollable powerful flagellation. As well as staying away from viruses & germs.
Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.
