Zana...Santa...Wigs

Here I am in two of the wigs. Patti says the brown one is sassy, the gray one is my disguise wig. I put it on & big sun glasses so no one recognizes me unless I speak or smile. I was busted Monday at the mall by by Trish Morris and Carl Klein (I was without my sunglasses.)
The 3rd of 3 cycles of Chemo was yesterday, Tuesday. My cell count is good, my blood pressure has responded to the meds, I told Dr. Tan that I had no libido and he said for my husband to "take one for the team." I will have a shot of Leukine every week day for the next 8 days to keep my counts up. My 4th and final Red Devil will be Wednesday December 27. YEA!!!
I will not start the next Chemo series until January 24th to give me time to build back up. And enjoy my dance January 6th.
Felt really good last Saturday thru Tuesday. Dr. Tan said that means it was time for another Chemo treatment. No appetite, sore mouth, constipated, dizzy, low grade fever, headache ,no stamina/energy, poor memory, inability to concentrate, no longer able to multi task. Dr. Tan says, all related to chemo. I have lost the 10 LB of pre chemo pity binge eating that I did for two months. He said that will come back with more on the new Chemo due to all of the steroids. BOO!!!!
I have been so blessed with my family and dear friends taking me to the doctor for check ups & shots. Picking things up for me at the store, even going out to lunch and shopping towards the end of my two week cycle.

Crabby, Witchie & Bald.... Fa la la la la la

I missed Christmas in the Park, the parade & "Let it Snow." I was having serious porcelain library issues after having Chemo the Tuesday before. (unlike those who require Imodium AD)
I had to result to the green party (magnesium citrate) in a bottle after 6 days it was either that or dynamite.
T.M.I.
Aren't you glad you ask how I am???

I am crabby, witchie, bald with chemo-ed taste buds!
I actually spit out a mouth full of chocolate today!!!
I am sure there is some sort of confessional I should go to.

Today was the last of this cycle of 7 in a row of Leukine Shots (side effects, injection site, redness, swelling & tenderness) (physical effects low grade fever, fatigue.) I am taking Leukine because it slowly builds up my white cells and dear old Blue Cross hopefully will
re- emburse the doctor for them unlike sometimes the Neulasta or Neupogen. Lab work Monday and 3rd cycle of the 4 CHEMO Tuesday. The last one of this cycle is scheduled for December 27. The new cycles won't start until after January 6 and my dance. YEA!

The new big "A" 56 inch rear projection TV came Wednesday. Denny spent 2 1/2 hours putting the stand together as Trey watched twice "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" w/ Fred Astaire.

Sunday we are going to the Art Center to have the family photo taken by the tree with Santa Claus. I shall don my wig and smile big.

Thankful in the fact that I am extremely blessed.

From Duck to Mange in 2 days... I need to be Dipped

Tuesday, Nov. 28.....................Thursday, Nov. 30

Well, there is nothing like going from punk to pukie as in vomit!!! in 36 hours. Thank goodness Martha had cut what hair I had to an inch and a half on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
So, that the hair on my pillow and in my mouth would be short. The scalp is so very tender and sensitive to the touch, pillow, everything. As of Sunday, Dec. 3 I look like Funk Dog with the Mange. My wigs came in Wednesday but my scalp feels like it is sunburned.
I had my second cycle of Red Devil & Cytoxin last Tuesday with shots of Leukine Wed. - Fri. I have reactions on my arm from the shots (big round skin rash from each one) that is red has fever and itches. I am mildly nauseous, have NO appetite, headache and low grade fever. Other wise I am great! All I want to do is lay down and channel surf and sleep. I don't even feel like checking my email. Thank goodness, I am half way through the Red Devil treatments. Only 2 more cycles, which the last is Wed. Dec. 27.
After six days again of NO porcelain library time I gladly drank the 10 oz party in a green bottle "magnesium citrate." Thank god, for modern medical assistance.
I am moody, bitchie, bloated and generally pissed at this entire experience.
I know and I am thankful that I am blessed with a great prognosis, fabulous friends and family, highly professional medical care and generous prayers.
Yes, we are having the 10 Annual "After Xmas Blues Dance" Saturday, January 6 at the Foley Civic Center with the Band "Hot Wire." Tickets are $25.00 per person.
Hey, guess what Denny found in the back floorboard of my car? Checks that I never deposited from last years dance.
I will call those and check to see if the account is opened before I deposit it.
